Applications open Thursday, Oct. 15, for the second round of Lebanon County COVID-19 financial impact grants, with about $2.5 million in funding still available.
The grants are available as part of the $12.8 million Lebanon County CARES Act settlement, which includes $8.25 million allocated towards grants to local firms financially impacted by COVID-19.
At a recent meeting, the Lebanon County Commissioners approved 202 grants in the first round, totaling approximately $5.7 million, out of $8.8 million total being sought.
“We approved the first phase of the awards, impressed with how smoothly the process devised by the task force and review committee worked,” said Commissioner Chairman Bob Phillips in a county press release, which noted that phase two will operate similar to phase one.
“The task force worked hard to adhere to the schedule even in lieu of the high volume of applications,” said Commissioner Vice Chairman Bill Ames in the release. “The bottom line is that we are dedicated to ensuring this important work is utilized in the ongoing recovery of our community.”

Organizations that applied in round one and did not receive grants must reapply in round two to be considered.
“We urge you to reapply, as the funds will go a long way to keep our county open for business,” said Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz in the county release.
Applications for the second round of grants open at 8 a.m. on Oct. 15 and close at 4 p.m. on Oct. 30. No late applications will be accepted. Awards are expected to be announced on Nov. 15. If awarded, grant funds must be spent by Dec. 30.
