All Lebanon County public schools are closed today as snow continues to fall, as it is expected to do for much of the day.

Snow emergencies have been declared in municipalities such as the City of Lebanon and Myerstown Borough limiting on-street parking and requiring snow tires and chains on snow emergency routes detailed in the releases included below.

PennDOT has reduced speeds on I-81, which passes through the northern part of the county, to 45 mph, along with reduced speeds on other area highways and byways including 322 and I-83. ABC27 traffic maps suggest actual speeds are closer to 30 mph on I-81 and I-76 passing through the county. More stringent restrictions will go into effect at 9 a.m. Monday to limit vehicle activity on these roads.

Lebanon County Weather has been keeping its 20,000 followers updated on Facebook throughout the storm. According to operator Justin Snyder’s final dispatch last night, snow is expected to persist throughout the day, with the possibility of bands of intense snowfall – in total, 10-15 inches expected.

ABC27’s weather camera atop the Lebanon Farmers Market shows a partially cleared Downtown Lebanon with very light vehicle traffic.
