Compass Mark, a science-based addiction prevention program, has partnered with Millersville University to host the virtual Positive Change Conference on Oct. 20 and 27, supported by the Lancaster County Drug and Alcohol Commission.
The theme is “Zooming Out: Mapping the Path Ahead.” It will explore how Compass Mark can deliver the best services to deal with the pandemic impacts for individuals and the community at large.
The conference is open to community members and professionals who are interested in the prevention of substance use and mental health.
Tami Micsky, DSW, will present “Loss and Grief: A Modern Lens for Practical Interventions,” and Leah Mundy-Maher, MSW, will present “Hold the Space: Validating the Collective Trauma Experiences of Youth and Families During COVID-19.”
