The ninth annual Homeless Veterans Awareness Campaign raised $33,587.45 for homeless veterans and former service members in distress—the group’s greatest amount collected ever.
Organizers said that the previous “street collection” record was surpassed by more than $11,000 this year.
The collections came from the three live encampment locations setup around Lebanon Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13, with 32 hours of rain, wind, and cold weather endured in total.

“Let me thank again our donors who provided donations to support our dedicated volunteers,” said the organizers in an announcement post. “They pride themselves in believing in what we do, making a difference among the Veteran Homeless population. We are humbled and truly blessed!”
