Following the last couple years of smaller Memorial Day services at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery due to coronavirus concerns, this year’s 40th annual ceremony will once again be open to the public.
The program will be held, rain or shine, at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, in the cemetery, located on the grounds of Fort Indiantown Gap.
Cemetery director John Spruyt will once again welcome the audience, with American Veterans (AMVETS) former department commander Bernie McDonald delivering the Memorial Day address. Joseph Snyder, Memorial Council trustee, will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Parking will be available at the Arrow Head Community Club, 9-65 Fisher Ave., with shuttle bus transportation to and from the cemetery. There will be limited accessible parking at the cemetery itself.
Parking, the shuttle, and the service are all free and open to the public to attend.
The program is cosponsored by the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Memorial Council and AMVETS Department of PA.
Indiantown Gap National Cemetery is a 677-acre military cemetery that serves the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. It was established in 1976.
