PennDOT plans to begin rehabilitation of the Route 422 bridge over Tulpehocken Creek on Monday, June 5.
The project consists of crack and spall repair, construction of cutoff walls, and placement of rock scour protection, the transportation authority said in a press release.
PennDOT said most of the work will be performed under the bridge and will not impact traffic. However, travelers may encounter flagging or lane shifts during daylight hours throughout the project, as well as trucks entering the highway from an access road that will be temporarily in place to support the rehabilitation project.
All work is expected to be completed by Nov. 8.
JVI Group, Inc. of York Springs is the contractor on this $729,754 project.
