North Lebanon Township manager Cheri Grumbine retires at the end of this month after 37 years as a municipal employee.
Grumbine will officially step down on July 1.
Assistant township manager Lori Brooks will take on the positions of township manager, township secretary, and assistant township treasurer.
Brooks will be replaced by new assistant township manager Molly Lum, who has worked for the township for six years.
Township supervisors made it official on June 19, when they accepted her retirement.
The majority of the June 19 meeting was public comment concerning the possible Jubilee development at 420 E. Kercher Ave. However, this was not an agenda item.

During the rest of the meeting, the supervisors:
- Unanimously agreed to release the semi-annual contribution of $24,000 to each of the four local volunteer fire companies.
- Unanimously agreed to release $30,000 to the Glenn Lebanon Fire Company from the Fire Company Capital Reserve Fund to make an annual loan payment to Kansas State Bank.
- Unanimously approved Lakeside Mobile Home Park’s 2023 renewal application.
- Unanimously agreed to approve a bench dedication with Patricia Troain.
- Heard that several items were sold for less than $2,000 through Municibid.
- Unanimously agreed to release the letter of credit totaling $8,514 to Bryan Nixon for a property at 310 Sunset Lane.
- Unanimously agreed to hire a police officer to go through the academy. This will be the department’s first female officer.
- Unanimously approved minutes (PDF) for their May 15 meeting.
- Unanimously approved payroll.
North Lebanon supervisors meet at the township municipal building on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. The meetings are open to the public and do not require prior registration.
