The Central Chapter PA Sports Hall of Fame will welcome a new class of inductees at its annual induction ceremony and banquet on Nov. 11 at the Lebanon Expo Center.
The 2024 class to be honored that night will be former Cedar Crest distance runner extraordinaire Nick MacFalls; longtime umpire, coach, and community leader Karl Wolf; former Lebanon High School star quarterback Mark Pyles; and former state javelin champion Thomas Jordan of Cedar Crest.
Also, on Nov. 11, the Central chapter will honor recent inductees Scott Pera, who coached the Annville-Cleona boys basketball team to the Class AA state title in 1999, and longtime Lebanon Valley College women’s volleyball coach Wayne Perry. Pera and Perry were unable to attend the ceremonies when they were originally inducted, due to prior commitments.
AHL Hall of Famer and ex-Hershey Bears enforcer Dennis Bonvie will also join the Hall at the Nov. 11 ceremony.
Cost to attend is $30 and is open to the public. Tables of six are $160. The induction processional begins at 7 p.m. For reservations and questions, contact Glenn Beidler at 716-222-0796 or gbeidler@comcast.net.
