Update 2/7: Cornwall-Lebanon School District posted a message from superintendent Dr. Philip Domencic about his hospitalization.

Domencic said thanks to quick responses from family and emergency responders, and the care of many skilled and compassionate medical professionals, he is now recovering at home.

“Miracles do happen and I am most grateful to God for this one as I will be around longer for my wife, children, and grandchildren, and to continue to be able to serve the students, staff and families of the Cornwall-Lebanon School District community,” said Domencic.

Cornwall-Lebanon School District superintendent Dr. Philip Domencic’s condition has been downgraded from critical care to intermediate care following his hospitalization last week.

The update was shared by a district spokesperson Saturday, Feb. 1.

“We are grateful to our community for continuing to support Dr. Domencic and his family with positive thoughts and prayers,” the district said in a press release.

Domencic had previously been in critical condition following his hospitalization early Wednesday morning, Jan. 29.
